Meet Carol

Welcome!  I’m Carol, the E and C of EC Bean Photography represent my daughter Emma and son Connor.  They are my reason why and inspire me to be more every day.  As a mother, I understand the importance of documenting my young children through images.  I want to remember their tiny baby features, their big achievements, their favorite things, and their growth. 

My backstory

When I was asked as a child, “what do you want to be when you grow up?”  The answer was always, a photographer.  This dream was pushed aside while I received my Masters in Education and pursued a career in higher education.   My children reignited my creativity, and my lifelong aspirations of being a mother and a photographer came together. 

When Emma was born, I wanted timeless photographs of my sweet new baby girl and always had my camera ready.  I fell in love with at-home newborn photography.  My passion showed in my images and my path emerged to pursue photography as my career.  As my family grew, so did my scope of work.  I also love photographing families outdoors to capture authentic connections and provide a meaningful, easy, and fun experience tailored to each family. 

Now with years of experience as an entrepreneur, and someone who put off her dream for a while, I love to help small businesses clarify their mission, and share their passion with the world through brand photography. I’m so grateful to all those who trust me and welcome me into their family or business.
